Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you work with?

The Speech Space provides services from 18 months through high school age.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, The Speech Space is private pay only. However, we are a Step Up Scholarship provider (Unique Abilities Scholarship)!

We accept cash, checks, or Venmo payments.

How often will my child need speech or language therapy?

Frequency and duration of therapy is determined based on each child’s individual needs. Therapy is typically 1-3 sessions per week for 30-60 minutes per session. A treatment plan will be reviewed with recommendations following an initial evaluation.

Where is your office?

The Speech Space, Inc. does not have a physical office location. We offer something even better! Amanda will come to your home or an agreed upon location (*within Tallahassee, FL and surrounding areas*) to provide your child’s services.
We come to YOU!

What is your attendance/cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so with 24 hours notice to avoid cancellation fees.

What is the difference between speech and language?

Speech addresses the way we speak (production of sounds, fluency, voice volume/clarity, etc.), whereas language refers to what we say, what we understand, and how we communicate with others. If you are unsure which one your child struggles with, Amanda is happy to schedule a free consultation call to discuss your child and any of the concerns you may have.
